My passion for dog training started with my two German Shepherds, Caesar and Mila. They have been my greatest teachers.

Not knowing what I was getting into with two high-drive working-line dogs was the beginning of my journey. I spent a long time working with a professional trainer while learning how to live with and train dogs like them.

When I later started working for a national dog training company, I greatly expanded my experience with many different dogs and behavior problems. At the same time, I quickly saw the limitations of many common training approaches. The focus often stayed on surface-level management of behavior and short-term compliance instead of building genuine teamwork and true interaction. I saw how easy it is to end up in a cycle of constant management instead of real change.

That realization changed everything for me. It pushed me to dig deeper into play- and genetics-based training.

I started Peak Play Dog Training because I believe dogs deserve to be understood as individuals, and owners deserve a partnership that actually lasts — without relying on endless management. Whether I’m working with a high-drive working-line dog, a reactive rescue, or a service dog prospect, my goal is the same: help you and your dog become a true team.
